Julie Prestridge (Bradbury)

Julie PrestridgeJulie Prestridge joined MVG in October 2010. Before joining us as an employee Julie completed training as a groomer with one of our experienced Groomers at our Bradbury clinic. Julie’s skills were such that she was quickly offered a position and since then she has been receiving rave reviews from clients for her grooming at both our Bradbury and Mt. Annan Clinics. Julie was awarded Employee of the Month in March, 2011 to acknowledge what a great ambassador she is for MVG.

Prior to joining MVG Julie worked in the dental and retail Industries. Like all our staff Julie loves working with animals and with her family owns a Limousin Cattle Stud in the local area. Julie’s family includes a Cavoodle, named Riley, a Kelpie cross – called Tess, one Ferret - Cleo, 2 x Rabbits and a silky chicken.

Kathryn Prestridge (Gregory Hills)

I am 24 and currently at UWS studying a Batchelor of Science (Biology) and looking to do a Masters of education to become a high school teacher. Have been working at Macarthur Vet group since 2012 where I was trained as a groomer. I am experienced in a wide variety of breed clips and I’m always happy to try new things or do custom clips for anyone who is interested. Always up for a challenge or something different!

I have a home full of pets that I have adopted over the past few years including a cat named River, a Kelpie named Tess, a corgi named Faye and a ferret named Cleo. I also have foster kittens coming and going all year round. I am passionate about animal welfare and also have an interest in science and wildlife. I am a huge bookworm and spend most of my free time either reading or playing videogames.

Nicole (Mt. Annan)

Nicole is our full time groomer at our Mt Annan Clinic. She has been grooming for over 4 years and particularly enjoys doing poodle clips. Nicole lives locally with her young family.

Michelle Skvorc (Camden)

Michelle SkvorcMichelle is one of our groomers at Camden, with 5 years experience in dog and cat grooming.

Michelle's own pets include a German Shepherd Cross named "Sascha" and an Indian Ringneck parrot named "Wally".

Michelle is married with 5 children.

Stephanie Chan (Camden)

Stephanie ChanHi I'm Stephanie. I'm married to Guy and have five “children” (two humans, Dante and Cooper and three “fur babies”, a Toy Poodle, a Boxer cross and a French Mastiff). I'm a huge supporter and advocate for pet adoption – all my pets have been rescued and each has a very special place in my heart and home.

As a young school girl I petitioned for Free the Bears Fund and often offered my time to the cause at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

As soon as I graduated year 12, I pursued my chosen path, working in the veterinary industry as a Veterinary Nurse.  While working at Sydney Animal Hospital, Kellyville I completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Ultimo Tafe and loved my years as a veterinary nurse.

My creative and artistic side led me to the world of grooming. Having a nursing background was a huge advantage! In 2010, I completed my Grooming Certifications and gained my technician’s licence through Pets Australia and since then have never looked back.

The most rewarding part of grooming isn't just creating a good's about gaining the trust of my furry clients and making them feel as pampered and comfortable as possible.

My experience working in a number of salons led to my realisation that the care for animals in some salons was not as high as it could be.  I wanted to work in an environment where grooming patients were handled with care, consideration and compassion and where I could make a real contribution.  Macarthur Vet Group has provided that environment.  It also gives me the opportunity to promote good health through grooming and provide a service beyond my clients expectations.

Since gaining my grooming technician’s licence in 2010 I have completed the “Masters in Salon Details” Exam (The Grooming School, Cooranbong) and received the “Judges Favourite - Salon Freestyle” at the Purina Grooming Competition, 2011.
