Importance of Vaccinations

Vaccinations!  One of the most controversial topics in the human world!  BUT, as part of responsible pet ownership, vaccinations protect your pet against potentially fatal viral and bacterial diseases.

Our vets perform annual health checks and as part of their health check, we give the appropriate vaccinations.  Once we’re satisfied that your pet is in generally good health, the vaccination will be given.

Puppies and kittens require a course of vaccinations in the first few months, but it doesn’t protect them for the rest of their lives.  Over time, their immunity weakens and your pet can become susceptible to infectious diseases.  The only practical means of protection is Vaccination!

We use a range of vaccines for dogs and cats, offering the greatest possible level of safety and immunity against the most common viral and bacterial diseases.

In the Macarthur/Campbelltown region, some canine diseases such as parvovirus (vomiting and diarrhoea), and infectious bronchitis (Kennel Cough) are very common so vaccination is STRONGLY recommended for all dogs.

If you have questions regarding vaccinations or your cat/dog is due you can make an appointment to chat with our vets to see what your pet requires, to help them live and long, healthy and happy life.

Topics: cat vaccination, dog vaccination, health checks, infectious bronchitis, kennel cough, parvovirus, preventative health, rabbit vaccination, vaccination
