Veterinarian

What is your role here?

I am a Small Animal Veterinarian working mostly at the Mt Annan clinic.

When did you start working at MVG?

I started working with Macarthur Veterinary Group at the end of August 2017.

What are your qualifications and when did you achieve them?

I have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Sydney which I completed in 2016.

What are some of the things you love about the veterinary industry?

I enjoy general veterinary practice because we deal with a wide range of things; from new puppy vaccination visits, skin disease, general medicine, behaviour problems, dentistry, end of life care and many others. I love the variety of pets and people we get to work with and that no two days are the same.

MVG is a great place to work because…

All the staff really care about what they do and work together to improve animal health and welfare. There is also a strong emphasis on continuing education with guest speakers running seminars for staff as well as visiting specialists and senior staff always willing to give advice to junior staff members.

Description of your pets / spouse / family

I have a very patient husband and two cats; Clea a 12-year-old Bengal and Bandit who I adopted last Christmas when he was handed into the previous clinic I worked at because he was found wandering the streets. I also have a green tree frog that came with me from Adelaide when I moved to Sydney to go to University.

One interesting fact about you that no one knows!

I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen when I have spare time. I especially like making pickles and preserves.
